Software Engineer III, Google Cloud Compute Infrastructure

The next-generation technologies that Google's software engineers create transform the ways in which billions of users connect, explore, and engage with information and each other. Large volumes of information must be handled by our products, which go far beyond web searches. We are seeking engineers with new ideas in all fields—distributed computing, mobile, networking, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, large-scale system design, information retrieval, and so on—and the list is constantly expanding. Working on a specific project that is essential to Google's needs will be your job as a software engineer, and as our rapidly expanding company grows, you'll have the chance to move between teams and projects. Our engineers must be adaptable, show leadership abilities, and be eager to take on new challenges.

Roles and Responsibilities

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, an**d software test engineering.
